Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative fire engineering solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking a talented Fire Engineer to join their Manchester office.

The Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering fire engineering solutions from concept design through to project completion. You will work closely with architects, developers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fire strategy reports for a variety of building types.
Undertake fire safety assessments and risk analysis.
Carry out means of escape calculations and evacuation modelling.
Develop performance-based fire engineering solutions.
Liaise with clients, design teams, building control bodies, and fire authorities.
Support projects through planning, design, and construction stages.
Assist with site inspections and technical reviews.
Contribute to business development activities and client relationship management.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment.
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and relevant fire safety legislation.
Experience preparing fire strategy reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Working towards or already holding professional membership with a relevant institution (IFE, CIBSE, Engineering Council, etc.) would be advantageous.
