We are supporting a client that is expanding its rail capability in Ireland who are looking to hire a Project Manager on a permanent basis with a strong rail background, with knowledge and experience of NEC forms of contracts.
With major national investment now moving from planning into delivery across commuter rail, light rail, and urban mobility, now is the perfect time get on board with these works at an early stage, offering the perferct opportunity to work at the centre of Ireland's next generation rail programmes, helping to deliver complex infrastructure under NEC contract frameworks.

🎯 The Role - Rail Project Delivery

You will play a key role in the delivery of rail and light rail projects, operating within a consultancy-led, client-facing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the delivery of rail infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle
Coordinating multi-disciplinary rail teams (track, civils, systems, E&M, signalling interfaces)
Acting as a key point of contact between client organisations, contractors, and design teams
Leading project delivery within NEC3 / NEC4 contract environments, ensuring compliance and effective administration
Managing programme, cost, risk, and schedule performance across rail schemes
Supporting NEC processes, including:
Early warnings
Compensation events
Programme reviews and acceptances
Ensuring delivery aligns with rail standards, safety requirements, and technical specifications
Contributing to programme reporting, governance, and stakeholder engagement

🌍 Projects & Rail Programmes

You will contribute to a portfolio including:

Commuter rail upgrades, civil and electrification programmes
Light rail operations, enhancements, and extensions
Rail infrastructure frameworks supporting national delivery
Integrated transport schemes involving multi-modal interfaces

🧩 What We're Looking For

This role is suited to a Project Manager with strong rail delivery experience and a solid understanding of operating within NEC frameworks in a consultancy environment.

✅ Essential:

Experience delivering rail or light rail infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3 / NEC4)
Experience managing multi-disciplinary rail teams and interfaces
Understanding of rail delivery environments, standards, and safety requirements
Ability to manage stakeholders across client, contractor, and consultancy organisations
Experience in programme controls, risk, and commercial awareness

➕ Desirable:

Experience within consultancy or client-side organisations
Exposure to framework-based project delivery models
Experience in Irish or UK rail sectors
Engineering or project management qualification
Professional accreditation (APM, PRINCE2, PMI, etc.)
