Vehicle Damage Assessor is required in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
This is an opportunity with a leading automotive group, offering a basic salary up to £35,000 with an OTE of £38,000, plus benefits and genuine career development.

Structured development on the job with a supportive teamDuties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Work in line with site guidelines to manage the workflow of job cards, meet volume targets, and identify fast-track repairs
Ensure parts orders are accurate and follow relevant purchasing procedures
Continuously review repair methodologies to ensure repairs are cost-effective
Liaise with the policyholder and the Direct Line Group engineering functions for vehicles that are borderline repairable or beyond economical repair
Provide service level agreements, including contacting customers regarding repairs and non-related damage
Where applicable, agree amended repair hours with workshop leadership teams and technicians
Maintain accountability for Health and Safety responsibilities and company procedures relevant to the role
Embed “standard methodology” and “lean activities” in accordance with business strategyRequirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Experience of vehicle repair methods
Knowledge of Thatcham repair methods
Audatex experience and an ATA qualification (or equivalent capability)
Typically a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor role
Working knowledge of estimating costs for large-scale damages
Confident use of Audatex and estimating/invoicing systems
Strong understanding of automotive systems and components
Analytical, problem-solving and detail-focused approach
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
