About the role
Install, commission, and hand over electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and domestic customers in line with NSI Gold and BAFE requirements. Systems include CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, intercoms, and fire detection.

Key responsibilities
· Install, terminate, program, and commission CCTV, intruder, access control, intercom, and fire systems to British and European Standards and manufacturer guidance
· Work from drawings and specifications from first fix to final fix, producing as‑fitted mark‑ups
· Test, verify, and document systems, providing commissioning sheets, certificates, and O&M packs
· Work safely at all times, completing RAMS, permits to work, and site inductions
· Liaise with customers and colleagues to plan works, minimise disruption, and meet deadlines
· Train end users during handover and obtain sign‑off
· Maintain van stock and tools and return unused materials to stores
· Support NSI Gold and BAFE audits with accurate records and housekeeping
· Occasional travel or overnight stays

Skills and experience
· Proven installation experience in at least three of: CCTV, intruder, access control, fire detection
· Confident with containment, cabling, terminations, IP networking basics, and device addressing
· Able to work from drawings and method statements with strong attention to detail
· Good customer communication and problem solving skills
· Full UK driving licence

Qualifications and certifications
· ECS or CSCS card, or willingness to obtain
· IPAF and PASMA desirable
· FIA units or equivalent for fire desirable
· Manufacturer training on Hanwha, Texecom, Paxton, Dahua, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, or Hochiki is a plus
· DBS check will be required
