Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant – New academic year start

Would you like to work in a Leicester secondary school supporting pupils with academic and social development?

· Graduate TA/Teaching Assistant
· Working with SEN pupils and those that need academic support due to low ability
· Based in South Leicester
· Full time, term time position – Starts Aug/Sept 2026
· Previous experience of working with or supporting young people is a real advantage

Smile Education are currently working with a school in South Leicester that require additional Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils who need extra support and development in school. As with all schools there are a range of needs including social, emotional, physical and academic.

The school require enthusiastic graduates to work in their area of strength, be that with special needs pupils or offering a high degree of academic tutoring.

Working in a secondary setting you will be tasked with supporting a range of pupils in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with the school’s class teachers as well as their learning support department to ensure that all pupils are working to their full potential and are being well cared for.
