Primary School Teaching Assistant - Smethwick (Early Years / KS1)
Pay: Depending on qualifications and experience
Location: Smethwick
We are currently recruiting for two Teaching Assistant positions within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Smethwick. These roles will focus on supporting children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Role Overview
You will work closely with class teachers to support learning, behaviour, and development within the classroom. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning in the classroom
Work with small groups and individual pupils
Support children with additional learning needs
Assist with classroom preparation and resources
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Supporting Teaching and Learning (essential or desirable depending on role)
Experience in a primary school or early years setting preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good understanding of safeguarding in education
Passion for supporting children's learning and development
