As a Timber Machinist, you will benefit from:

Job security within a busy and established Sawmill operation
As a Timber Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
Selecting appropriate timber boards to meet works orders
Operating sawing and machining equipment safely and accurately
Maximising yield from each piece of timber while minimising waste
Accurately tallying and recording production output
Stacking, banding, labelling, and presenting completed orders
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised work area
As a Timber Machinist, your experience will include:
Previous experience within a timber sawmill or Woodworking environment
Operating woodworking or timber machining equipment
A good standard of maths and spoken English
A disciplined, methodical, and quality-focused approach to work
Strong attention to detail under time pressure
A Forklift Licence or formal Timber Machining Qualification would be advantageous
