This Business Development Manager role will suit a Business Development Manager with strong construction sector experience who is confident developing new business, maintaining client relationships and identifying new project opportunities across the UK.

About the role of Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the construction sector. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving company growth, building long-term client relationships and supporting the wider pre-construction and estimating teams.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with senior leadership to target new frameworks, repeat business opportunities and strategic clients.

Responsibilities for Business Development Manager

Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.

Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals.

Work closely with pre-construction and estimating teams.

Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and report progress to senior management.

Support bid strategy and tender submissions.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity.

Requirements for Business Development Manager

Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within construction or a related sector.

Strong network within the construction industry.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to generate and convert leads into secured work.

Experience working with contractors or subcontractors.

Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.

Full UK driving licence.
