Hammersmith Broadway, Greater London, United Kingdom
Education
Immediate Start
£45.7k - £45.7k Annual
Contract/Project
School Nurse (Maternity Cover) – Hammersmith, London W6
Full time, term time only
Actual salary circa £45,700 per annum (based on an FTE of £57,034 FTE per annum).
Our client has been offering a rigorous and stimulating education to bright children for a long time. 400 years in fact.
As one of the leading co-educational day schools in the country, they continue to offer today’s pupils a life-changing education. The school’s ethos of social inclusivity is as strong today as it was in 1624
They are a diverse, inclusive community of staff, all highly engaged experts within their field. They pride themselves on being both forward-looking and innovative whilst also being outward facing; involved in the local community and far beyond. Once you step into their community you begin to realise what a unique and special place this is, one that values individual contribution and, just as with their students, encourages staff to pursue their interests and achieve their ambitions.
The School Nurse is expected to play an active part in school life and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the medical room. This means ensuring that both staff and students are provided with efficient, compassionate and professional medical care and first aid as required. The school has a well-equipped medical room and a separate triage room; the successful candidate will be joining their small, dedicated team, independently providing professional nursing care to all students and staff on a maternity cover basis.
You will join one existing School Nurse and two part-time Health Care Assistants who provide five days a week coverage between them. The student welfare team also includes three part-time Counsellors, a team of two in the Attendance Office, a Pupil Welfare Officer and a Safeguarding Officer.
