We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Hillingdon, supporting students within a Post-16 / Sixth Form setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), helping them to develop their independence, communication skills and confidence as they prepare for adulthood.

The Role:

Supporting students with SLD on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Assisting with communication, social development and life skills.
Supporting students with personal care where required.
Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.
Promoting independence and preparing students for life beyond education.The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with SEND, particularly SLD, is desirable
Previous experience working with children in 6th form
A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
Comfortable supporting students with complex needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passionate about making a positive difference to young people's lives.This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEND professionals, graduates, support workers, youth workers or individuals looking to build a career within specialist education.
