Maintenance Surveyor / Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Location: Shepperton

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor, Estimator, or Quantity Surveyor to join a growing property services team delivering repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across social housing portfolios.
The successful candidate will play a key role in surveying properties, pricing works, managing repairs, and supporting the successful delivery of maintenance projects. This position would suit someone with a strong background in social housing, local authority, or housing association environments who understands the commercial and operational aspects of property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake property inspections and condition surveys.
* Assess repair requirements and prepare schedules of works.
* Estimate and price maintenance, refurbishment, and repair projects.
* Produce cost plans, quotations, and reports.
* Monitor project costs and ensure works are delivered within budget.
* Liaise with contractors, residents, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
* Conduct pre and post-inspections of completed works.
* Assist with the management of responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance programmes.
* Ensure compliance with housing regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry standards.
* Provide technical and commercial advice relating to maintenance and repair works.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Surveyor, Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.
* Proven experience within social housing, housing associations, local authorities, or council-led maintenance environments.
* Strong knowledge of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and property services.
* Experience preparing estimates, schedules of works, and cost reports.
* Good understanding of building maintenance and construction methods.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Desirable
* Experience working on voids, disrepair, and planned maintenance programmes.
* Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline.
* Knowledge of housing maintenance software and contract management systems.
