Fleet Technician - Ferries

The Fleet Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the fleet through planned and reactive maintenance of vessels, machinery and equipment, in line with statutory, safety and company requirements.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine and defect maintenance of vessel machinery, machinery spaces and associated equipment.
Identify, rectify (where possible) and report safety hazards and technical faults.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and good engineering practice within engine rooms and technical spaces.
Support refits, dry-docking and statutory inspections, including MCA audits.
Assist with compliance to COSWP, SMS, emergency procedures and company policies.
Supervise contractors to ensure safe working practices and quality standards are met.
Participate in the on-call rota to support operational requirements.
Assist with stock control, ordering spares, and maintaining accurate technical records and logbooks.Requirements

AEC 1 & 2 qualified, or a clear desire to work towards AEC 1 & 2.
Ideally from a maritime background, such as Fleet Mechanic, Marine Engineer, or Vessel Maintenance role.
