Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support our busy Employment Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in employment law within a well-established and client-focused firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting solicitors with a wide range of employment matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work
Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and tribunal bundles
Managing client files, ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with firm procedures
Liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner
Conducting legal research and summarising findings
Supporting with Employment Tribunal claims and case preparation
Handling administrative tasks such as billing, file opening, and diary management
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal (employment law experience desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
A genuine interest in employment law and client care
Personal Attributes:
Professional, approachable, and team-oriented
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
