Workshop Controller

Franchised Motor Dealership - Wembley area

Salary: From £37,700 (depending on experience) + Excellent Benefits

Hours: 45 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a successful main dealership representing one of the automotive industry's most recognised brands.

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring work is allocated effectively, productivity targets are achieved, and exceptional levels of customer service are maintained. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who can inspire technicians, drive performance, and ensure the smooth flow of work through the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Allocate work effectively to Technicians to maximise productivity and efficiency.

Monitor the progress of vehicles through the workshop and ensure deadlines are met.

Liaise closely with the Service Department to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers when required.

Lead, coach and motivate the workshop team to achieve performance targets.

Ensure all incoming work is planned and managed effectively.

Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, stock control and Health & Safety.

Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and business objectives.

About You

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Workshop Controller or similar role within a main franchised dealership.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations.

Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively.
