Job Title: Assembly Fitter
Location: Dungannon
Contract: Permanent
Pay Rate: DOE

Our client based in the Dungannon area, is looking for experienced Vehicle Assembly Fitters.
The Vehicle Fitter/Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and preparing vehicle components and systems in line with engineering drawings, build specifications, and quality standards. The role supports the production of vehicles or vehicle sub-assemblies, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble vehicle components such as chassis parts, panels, interiors, and mechanical systems
* Fit components including brackets, pipework, wiring looms, and fixings
* Interpret basic engineering drawings, build sheets, and vehicle specifications
* Use hand tools and workshop equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, drills, rivet guns)
* Carry out basic mechanical tasks such as drilling, tapping, fastening, and sealing
* Ensure all parts are fitted correctly, aligned, and secure
* Perform basic checks to ensure vehicle builds meet quality and safety standards
* Identify and report any defects, missing components, or build issues
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Follow company build procedures and health & safety standards
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Basic understanding of mechanical assembly or vehicle systems
* Ability to use general workshop tools and equipment
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to follow instructions, diagrams, and build documentation
* Strong manual skills and practical aptitude
* Willingness to learn and develop in a vehicle engineering environment
Desirable:
* Previous experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, or manufacturing
* Basic knowledge of vehicle systems (e.g., braking, suspension, interiors)
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools
* Experience using torque settings and following technical specifications
