1st Step Solutions are supporting a M&E Contractor who have an opportunity for an Mechanical Project Manager on a permanent position based in either Hayes, Loughton or Slough (depending on project assignment)
Job overview:
As a Project Manager, you will professionally oversee and manage the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they delivered on time, to budget.
The projects range in value and the role will be predominately site based, with some travel to Head Office required.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance.
Report aspects of the project to Clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.
Liaise with Technical Services to ensure the delivery of Design / Working Drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production.
Delegate activities within the GBL Project Team, while still managing to build strong working relationships.
Management of the Procurement Process.
Promote and drive health and safety.
Manage installation and commissioning activities.
Handover documentation.
Managing and controlling sub-contractors.
Cost control, while liaising with project surveyor to produce monthly PFR reports.Knowledge & Experience
Previous Project Management experience
Demonstrable experience carrying packages from Technical Submittal to Commissioning stages
Must have Data Centre experienceQualifications
HNC / HND or a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
CSCS card holder.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office (desirable).
5 years of project engineering experience (desirable).
Use of ASTA for programming (desirable).On Offer:
