Afternoons: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm / Fridays 6:00am to 11:00am and 11:00am to 4:00pm

The role
A leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing organisation in Bristol is looking for a Production Technician to join their busy production team. You will be involved in the assembly of complex, high-specification systems and sub-assemblies, working to precise quality standards in a highly technical environment.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, holds themselves to a high standard, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated production setting.
Responsibilities
Build systems, sub-assemblies and piece parts for complex systems to the right quality levels and ISO standards
Ensure requirements of the BOM and customer specification are met
Identify and resolve build problems, reporting technical issues via the FRACAS process
Train and guide less experienced technicians
Maintain and develop your technical competence through ongoing training
Uphold the highest standards of build cleanliness, housekeeping and health and safety
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
What we're looking for
Time-served electrical apprenticeship, City and Guilds Part 3, HND, HNC, or BTech Level 3
Detailed wiring skills including lead-free soldering, panel wiring to schematics, and ability to read electrical drawings
Ability to fault find and implement corrective action
3 or more years of relevant experience
Ideally a combination of mechanical, electrical and electronic assembly skills
Experience in the semiconductor or plasma technology industry is a plus
Strong attention to detail and high build quality standards
Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern reliably
The process
Candidates will complete a two-hour technical assessment (mechanical or electrical depending on discipline) as part of the selection process. Starting salary is influenced by assessment performance and relevant experience, with scope for review at six months for higher-banded starters
