Our client, a prominent player in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Site Agent to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing highway projects, ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and supervising site activities and subcontractors
Ensuring highway projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with relevant standards
Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes
Monitoring project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary
Preparing and maintaining documentation, including project reports and safety records
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Facilitating effective communication between all project participants
Managing resources and budgets to optimise project efficiency
Job Requirements:
Experience in managing highway projects
Strong knowledge of highway construction techniques and standards
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to highway works
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline
