Depot Engineer

Doncaster | £Competitive + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits

Escape Recruitment is working with a leading engineering organisation to recruit a Depot Engineer for their Doncaster operation.

This is a workshop-based engineering role responsible for maintaining, repairing and preparing a fleet of diesel-powered equipment for customer deployment.

The position would suit an experienced engineer from a generator, HGV, heavy plant, agricultural, military, marine or similar engineering background.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on engineering equipment
Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults
Complete equipment overhauls and refurbishment work
Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance
Prepare equipment for deployment
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
Support continuous improvement activities within the depot
Work safely and follow engineering standards at all times

What We're Looking For

Mechanical engineering background
Strong fault-finding ability
Experience working on diesel engines or similar
Engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred
Experience within generators, HGV, plant, marine, Forces or similar sectors
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
