About the Role

Fox Morris is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years SENCO Teacher to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that all pupils receive high-quality, inclusive education tailored to their needs.

You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, parents/carers, and external agencies to promote inclusive practice and improve outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with statutory requirements and local authority guidance

* Identify and assess pupils with SEN, ensuring appropriate interventions and support plans are in place

* Work closely with teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies

* Liaise with parents/carers, external professionals, and agencies

* Maintain accurate SEND records, including EHCP documentation

* Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN provision and report to Senior Leadership

* Support staff development through training and guidance on inclusive practice

Essential Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

* Previous experience working with young children with SEND

* Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment)

Desirable Criteria

* Leadership experience within a school or SEND setting

* Experience managing EHCP processes

* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working
