Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Lymington, Hampshire.

This role sits within a well-established, customer-focused site delivering professional automotive services across MOT, servicing, diagnostics, tyres, wheel alignments, and brake pad and disc replacements, helping keep local vehicles roadworthy and safe.

Basic salary up to £40,000
Overtime paid at time and a half

Death in service and injury insurance coverDuties of the Vehicle Technician:

Perform vehicle servicing across makes and models to a consistently high standard
Complete VHC inspections and ensure all checks are correctly completed and recorded
Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicle faults with a strong focus on accuracy
Carry out brake and suspension work, including maintenance and replacement as required
Support the smooth running of a busy workshop handling cars and vans as a Vehicle Technician
Maintain a professional and honest approach, identifying where your strengths are best suited within the workshopRequirements:

Proven workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician, with confidence in service work
Ability to complete VHCs and handle brake and suspension jobs
Competence on mainstream vehicles; comfort working on vans is beneficial
MOT experience is desirable, with MOT-trained or qualified Vehicle Technicians able to access the top end of the salary range
Reliable, practical attitude and ability to communicate strengths and limitations clearly
