Care and Support Services are looking for a confident and experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The two homes are located next to each other in Burton upon Trent, meaning there is no travel required between separate sites. While each home has its own registration, records, compliance requirements and day-to-day oversight, the close location allows the Registered Manager to provide consistent leadership across both homes in a practical and manageable way.

You will be responsible for ensuring both homes provide safe, nurturing, high-quality care while maintaining excellent standards of compliance, safeguarding, leadership and Ofsted readiness.

About the Role

As Dual Registered Manager, you will lead and develop staff teams across two children’s homes, ensuring young people receive consistent, therapeutic and trauma-informed care.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of both homes, support staff practice, maintain strong systems and ensure the homes meet Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

This role would suit someone who is organised, resilient, confident in decision-making and passionate about improving outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strong, trauma-informed leadership across two children’s residential homes

* Promote PACE-informed practice and a nurturing, therapeutic environment

* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures and statutory requirements

* Lead, supervise, mentor and develop staff teams

* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, placement plans, audits, rotas and operational reporting

* Build positive relationships with young people, families, local authorities, social workers and professionals

* Support staff during challenging situations and model best practice

* Lead on Regulation 45 reporting, quality assurance and continuous improvement

* Maintain a strong culture of safeguarding, accountability and reflective practice

What We Offer

* Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 per year, depending on experience

* Up to £10,000 performance-based bonus

* Company-funded Level 5 and 7 Diploma, if not already achieved

* Strong senior leadership and Responsible Individual support

* Structured onboarding, shadowing and 1-to-1 support

* Therapeutic, trauma-informed and PACE-informed training

* Monthly clinical consultation and reflective support

* Well-maintained, well-resourced homes with generous budgets for young people’s needs

* Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential wellbeing support

* Supportive leadership team focused on staff wellbeing, progression and work-life balance

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong experience in children’s residential care, ideally at Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior leadership level. You should have experience supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, trauma or complex needs, along with a strong understanding of safeguarding, Looked After Children procedures, Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or equivalent. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable, although candidates who are currently enrolled or willing to complete this may also be considered. A full UK driving licence is preferred.
