Senior Site Engineer – Civil Engineering
Edinburgh
£50,000 - £65,000 + Company Vehicle + Lodge Allowance + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor working on major infrastructure projects across Scotland and the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, supporting earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete and infrastructure works while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Surveying, setting out and volume calculations
• Managing machine control systems and 3D modelling
• Monitoring earthworks progress and reporting project performance
• Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Supporting project planning and resource coordination
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards
• Assisting with commercial reporting and project controls
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting site teams
Requirements:
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years' experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong setting out and surveying experience
• Knowledge of Topcon, Trimble or Leica machine control systems
• Experience using GPS, Total Stations and surveying software
• Roads, drainage, earthworks or reinforced concrete experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
