Export / Import Specialist
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
An established and highly respected technical manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Export / Import Specialist to join their operations team in Cambridge.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting global logistics, customer order fulfilment, and export compliance within a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process, schedule and invoice customer and internal orders
* Work closely with manufacturing to coordinate delivery timelines
* Manage customer communications and order updates
* Prepare and manage export documentation in line with compliance regulations
* Oversee repair administration from quotation through to dispatch
* Coordinate international shipments, including exhibitions and carnets
* Handle import documentation, including inward processing requirements
* Support with sales quotations when required
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in import/export (EU and worldwide)
* Strong knowledge of export documentation and international shipping processes
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage with technical stakeholders
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools
* Understanding of manufacturing or supply chain environments
* Experience with Letters of Credit, IPR or Carnets is advantageous
