Maintenance EngineerLocation: Hampton
Shift: 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to add a Maintenance Engineer to their growing team. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping production and site services running safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet both operational and legal requirements.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules
Respond to and resolve breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
Maintain and repair production machinery and building services equipment
Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded on internal systems
Manage and source spare parts within budget constraints
Work closely with production and leadership teams to maintain output and qualityWe’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias and good electrical knowledge: You will ideally have:
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills
The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Experience working with planned maintenance systems (CMMS/CPPM)
A proactive, team-focused approach with strong communication skillsThe successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally hold the below qualifications:
Engineering qualification such as:
City & Guilds (P2/P3)
ONC / HNC in Engineering
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Time-served apprenticeship
Ideally 3 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement is beneficial
Confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance systemsWhat’s on offer for the successful Maintenance Engineer:
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Bonus usually paid in March based on company performance
