We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Bradford, providing vital support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This rewarding role involves working closely with students on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside teaching staff and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need both academically and pastorally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for students with SEN within the classroom.
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.
* Support students with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
* Assist in the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised support plans.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
* Promote positive behaviour and student engagement.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
* GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and SEN provision.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting young people.
