Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Sensory Integration Qualified)
Location: Hybrid (UK-based with travel to services)
Salary: £55000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) + £3,500 car allowance + mileage
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Reports to: Head of Clinical Services
Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessment, intervention planning, and delivery of therapeutic support within our clinical framework. A significant aspect of this role involves embedding sensory integration approaches across children's and adult residential homes.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior leaders, and external partners to ensure consistently high clinical standards and positive outcomes for individuals in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Planning
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify barriers affecting individuals. Work collaboratively to develop and implement personalised, outcome-focused treatment plans.
Intervention Delivery
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aligned with individual clinical plans, ensuring high-quality therapeutic input.
Therapeutic Engagement
Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with children and adults to support engagement and progress within care plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work effectively with internal teams and external agencies to maintain and enhance clinical standards and coordinated care delivery.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical records that provide an evidence-based account of all interventions and progress.
What You Need
Education
Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration with the HCPC (where applicable)
Qualification in Occupational Therapy
Experience
Experience working within children's and/or adult residential care settings
Proven delivery of sensory integration approaches
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands effectively
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential) with ability to travel between services
Work Environment
Hybrid working model (office, remote, and on-site visits)
Children's residential homes
Adult residential services
Secure children's homes
Multi-site travel required
