Executive Assistant 6mth Contract

Hybrid working 2 to 3 day a week onsite in Manchester £200pd inside IR35

The role demands excellent organisation and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across the department and more widely.

Key to success will be your ability to remain calm when busy, think quickly on your feet, prioritise and be flexible with your workload, work independently and exercise strong judgement.

You will be able to deal with internal and external stakeholders and be able to build strong working relationships quickly, confidently engaging with teams to ensure delivery of the Director General’s priorities and requests, in a collaborative and creative way.

Role Details:

* Prioritise and respond to emails appropriately and in a timely manner.

* Proactively plan meetings and manage the diary in line with business priorities, ensuring agendas, information, and documents are prepared.

* Stay highly organised while managing commissions with varying deadlines, and work proactively with teams to identify and resolve issues early.

* Ensure the Director General’s time is used efficiently and effectively, responding to last-minute changes and urgent requests.

* Coordinate and organise meeting and visit logistics, including availability, attendance checks, and cast lists.

* Manage travel arrangements and hotel bookings as required.

* Provide an effective communication channel between the private office and wider teams.

* Carry out reasonable additional duties at a similar level to support administrative work and business priorities.

* Contribute to a supportive, flexible, calm, and hard-working team culture.

Essential skills:

* Strong administration skills or experience providing executive support, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of audiences.

* Experience handling sensitive information with tact and diplomacy while maintaining confidentiality.

* Experience managing a busy diary and working with urgency when priorities change.

* Civil Service experience is desirable but not essential
