About the Opportunity
Hays Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a growing, progressive business in Chesterfield to recruit two Warehouse Support staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, close-knit team environment where attitude and potential are valued as highly as experience. With a team of around 10, the business prides itself on developing its people and actively promotes from within, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career and maybe progress into the office/operational role in the longer term.

The Role
The successful candidates will initially focus on supporting with warehouse operations , these tasks will be varied. Training will be give, but will include weighing, packing and labelling specialist products, ensuring accuracy and quality at all times. As you develop in the role, you will gain exposure to wider warehouse functions including Goods In, stock management and despatch.

The successful candidate must live locally to the Chesterfield area and be able to demonstrate up applcation having held a similar type role previously.

Key Responsibilities

Packing & Production

Accurately weigh and pack products into appropriate packaging
Ensure all labelling is correct and matches product specifications
Identify and report discrepancies or quality concerns
Complete records accurately to maintain traceability
Store finished goods in line with FIFO stock rotationQuality & Compliance

Follow food safety, hygiene and quality procedures
Maintain high personal hygiene standards and use PPE correctly
Work in line with health and safety regulations
Keep the working environment clean, organised and compliantWarehouse Operations (following training)

Support with receiving and checking deliveries
Assist with stock control and storage
Pick and prepare orders for dispatch
Contribute to general warehouse organisation
Support colleagues across the team as requiredWhat We're Looking ForThis role is centred around attitude and team fit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
Prior warehouse experience would be advantageous.
Good attention to detail and accuracy
A positive, proactive approach
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
The ability to work well within a small team
Flexibility and a hands-on mindset
Pride in delivering a high standard of workDesirable (not essential):

Previous warehouse, packing or manufacturing experience
Experience working with food products
Understanding of food safety or quality standardsWhat You'll Get in Return

Monday-Friday working hours (09:00-17:00), no weekends
22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
