Astro Education is currently seeking compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs within primary schools across Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

These rewarding roles may involve providing 1:1 support, working with small intervention groups, or supporting pupils within specialist SEN provisions. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs

* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

* Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions

* Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff

* Promoting pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in learning

* Supporting social and communication development

* Encouraging positive relationships and inclusion within the school environment

Ideal Candidate

* Experience working with children with SEN, either in schools or similar settings

* Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional needs

* Calm, patient, and adaptable approach

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Understanding of safeguarding and child development

* A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting pupils
