Registered Managers – Children's Residential Care (2 Opportunities)

Location: Swinton & Crumpsall, Manchester

Salary: £50,000

Hours: Full Time | Monday-Friday

I am recruiting on behalf of a children's residential care provider for two Registered Managers to lead two therapeutic 2-bed children's homes located in Swinton and Crumpsall, Manchester.

These are excellent opportunities for passionate and ambitious childcare leaders looking to manage small, nurturing services where the focus is on therapeutic care, stability, safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Each home has been designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where children can build trust, develop resilience and thrive.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of your home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and safeguarding are maintained.

You will lead and develop your team, create a positive culture and ensure children receive outstanding care and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold Ofsted registration and overall responsibility for the home.

• Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

• Lead safeguarding practices and promote a culture of safety.

• Recruit, supervise, mentor and develop staff.

• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and placement management.

• Maintain excellent standards of record keeping and regulatory documentation.

• Ensure the home remains inspection-ready at all times.

• Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals.

• Manage budgets, resources and occupancy effectively.

• Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Requirements

• Experience within children's residential care.

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's home.

• Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).

• Excellent safeguarding knowledge.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
