We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Swindon. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering engaging, accessible English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated English lessons tailored to individual learning needs, ensuring all students are supported to achieve their full potential. You will create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence, communication, and progress in literacy skills.
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEN team, you will contribute to personalised learning plans and use a range of strategies to support engagement and positive outcomes. A strong understanding of adaptive teaching and SEN best practice is highly beneficial.
This role would suit a qualified English Teacher who is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs. Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with a strong mainstream background and a willingness to develop their skills in a specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Adapt teaching to meet a range of SEN needs
Support development of literacy, communication, and independence skills
Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN professionals
