Health & Social Care Teacher - Cardiff Secondary School

Aspire People are currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Teacher to work in a Secondary school in Cardiff from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with experience delivering Health & Social Care or related vocational qualifications at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5.
The role may be offered on a long-term or full-time basis for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and meaningful lessons that support pupils in developing both academic understanding and sector‑specific knowledge. Responsibilities may include:
Delivering Health & Social Care lessons at KS4 and/or KS5
Teaching BTEC, CACHE or equivalent vocational qualifications
Supporting pupils with coursework and portfolio‑based assessments
Planning engaging lessons linked to real‑world Health & Social Care contexts
Monitoring progress and supporting pupils to meet qualification criteria
Working collaboratively with departmental staff and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience teaching Health & Social Care in a Secondary school or FE setting
QTS or a relevant teaching qualification (or strong sector experience)
Experience delivering vocational or coursework‑based qualifications
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A positive, professional and learner‑focused approach
