RHC 360 Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to support an NHS Trust based in Croydon, CR7 7YE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong ER professional with NHS experience to join a busy HR & OD team and provide expert support across complex employee relations matters.

Important: NHS experience is essential for this role. Please only apply if you have previous Employee Relations experience within the NHS.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Employee Relations Manager, you will:

• Manage and support a specialist Employee Relations team

• Provide expert ER advice to managers and senior stakeholders

• Manage complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, dignity at work and sickness-related matters

• Support and lead complex investigations, hearings and formal casework

• Ensure ER cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with Trust policies, ACAS guidance and employment legislation

• Liaise with Trade Union representatives where required

• Support policy development, process improvement and ER reporting

• Monitor ER case progress, KPIs, trends and timelines

• Support managers to resolve people issues effectively and professionally

• Promote a compassionate, fair and consistent employee relations approach

Essential Requirements:

• Previous NHS Employee Relations experience is a must

• Strong experience managing complex ER cases

• Experience with disciplinary, grievance, capability and investigation processes

• Strong knowledge of employment law, ACAS guidance and HR best practice

• Experience working in a large, complex and unionised environment

• CIPD qualified and registered

• Degree level education or equivalent experience

• Experience advising senior managers and stakeholders

• Strong report writing and communication skills

• Ability to manage competing deadlines and sensitive cases professionally

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable:

• Previous Band 7 NHS ER Manager experience

• Experience managing or supervising ER Advisors / HR staff

• ESR experience

• PRINCE2 qualification

• Postgraduate Certificate in Employment Law
