Position: DT Teacher (Full-Time)
Start Date: 7th September 2026
Location: Beckfoot Thornton School, Bradford
About the Role:
Beckfoot Thornton School is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated DT Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving skills across a diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages (as appropriate)
Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking in students
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Contribute to curriculum development within the DT department
Support extracurricular activities, including DT clubs, STEM initiatives, or exhibitions
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting (including ECTs welcome to apply)
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design and Technology
Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
