One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Change and Release Manager to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £489 per day INSIDE IR35.
Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.
This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
We are seeking an experienced Change Release Manager/Service Delivery Lead to take ownership of end;to;end service delivery, process governance, and operational excellence across a complex, high;availability environment. This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of ITIL;aligned processes, and the ability to manage risk, stakeholders, and service performance with confidence and authority.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer expectations and ensure stakeholders are fully informed of risks, issues, and changes that may impact service delivery.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure continuity and quality of service delivery.
Lead resource and capacity planning including prioritisation, recruitment, performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
Continually assess all aspects of the practice and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Participate in an on;call rota (up to 7 days per month) to support out;of;hours service delivery.
Process Ownership ResponsibilitiesSupport audits and oversee process design to ensure alignment with ISO9001, ISO20000, and ISO27001 standards.
Drive process maturity through regular assessments and improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant organisational policies and raise gaps via the risk register.
Act as a process advocate, ensuring effective onboarding and training for new starters.
Manage the performance of the Change Enablement Team.
Skills Experience Required
ITIL Foundation Certification (minimum).
Strong IT technical understanding and familiarity with Service Management Tooling.
Knowledge of the DDaT Change Release Manager capability framework.
Proven track record of delivering results and meeting performance targets.
Experience operating within Government IT environments.
Desirable certifications:
ISO9001, ISO20000, ISO27001 knowledge
Agile Foundation (BCS or equivalent)
ITIL Practice Manager - Plan, Implement Control
Knowledge of ServiceNow is highly advantageous.
