The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students with a range of additional needs to thrive academically and personally. You will support both 1:1 and small group learning, collaborate with teaching staff to deliver tailored educational support, and encourage learners to reach their potential across all aspects of the college day.
Responsibilities
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to foster engagement and learning.
Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated, meaningful lessons.
Offering consistent encouragement and emotional support in and out of the classroom.
Helping to promote independence and positive communication among learners.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
Level 3 or Level 4 qualification (preferred).
Current Child or Adult DBS—or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to provide strong references covering the last 24 months.
Willingness to complete all compliance requirements promptly.
