Working as part of a dedicated and experienced engineering team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of structural steelwork and bespoke components, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. This position offers long-term stability, opportunities for career development, and the chance to contribute to innovative projects within a thriving and expanding business.
Skills & Experience
* Time-served Plater with experience in heavy fabrication and structural steelwork
* Qualified and experienced welder with strong fabrication and assembly capabilities
* Proficient in both MIG and TIG welding processes across a range of materials and thicknesses
* Highly competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication plans
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and use initiative to resolve production issues
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and quality personnel
Roles & Responsibilities
* Interpreted and reviewed engineering drawings and technical specifications for fabricated and welded components
* Performed welding and plating operations in accordance with quality and safety standards
* Maintained strict adherence to dimensional tolerances and process parameters to ensure product quality
* Consistently met or exceeded production schedules and output targets
* Collaborated effectively with production teams to deliver customer orders on time and to specification
* Accurately marked and identified component parts throughout the manufacturing process
