As a result of continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking an experienced and proactive SHEQ Manager to strengthen their team and support the successful delivery of construction, façade remediation and fire safety projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about driving high standards, influencing positive safety culture, and making a genuine impact across a diverse range of projects.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operational teams, ensuring compliance with current legislation, industry best practice, and company management systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management
*
Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across multiple projects.
*
Monitoring SHEQ performance and implementing continual improvement initiatives.
*
Supporting project teams to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
Project Support & Compliance
*
Reviewing and supporting the preparation of RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and associated project documentation.
*
Providing guidance on CDM 2015 regulations, the Building Safety Act and Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements.
*
Assisting operational teams with practical SHEQ advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Management Systems & Accreditation
*
Maintaining and improving integrated management systems.
*
Supporting external audits and certification requirements.
*
Managing SSIP accreditations, client pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and compliance submissions.
Investigation, Training & Engagement
*
Leading incident investigations and producing detailed reports with effective corrective actions.
*
Delivering SHEQ training, toolbox talks and workforce engagement initiatives.
*
Promoting a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and visible leadership.
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced SHEQ professional who can build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
You will ideally possess:
*
Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within construction, refurbishment, remediation or related sectors.
*
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations, ISO management systems and current health and safety legislation.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*
Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
*
NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
*
A proactive approach with a passion for driving continual improvement.
