Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor
Location: Manchester or Birmingham
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
Hybrid Working: 3 days in office

We are working with a growing, multidisciplinary consultancy looking to appoint a Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in either Manchester or Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Director, gaining direct exposure to clients, projects, and strategic decision-making. The business operates across a range of specialist areas including Rights of Light, Daylight & Sunlight, Party Wall & Neighbourly Matters, offering a unique opportunity to broaden your experience within a highly technical and collaborative environment.

The Role

You will support and deliver work across a mix of professional surveying instructions and specialist consultancy services, including:

Party Wall & Neighbourly Matters
Schedules of Condition
General Building Surveying duties
Supporting projects within Rights of Light / Daylight & Sunlight assessments (training provided where needed)

You will be working across a diverse portfolio from smaller developments to large, complex schemes contributing to technically robust, practical, and client-focused solutions.

About the Team

You’ll be joining a collaborative and technically strong team:

Rights of Light | Daylight & Sunlight – delivering clear, evidence-based advice to support planning and development
Wind – providing advanced modelling and analysis to shape safe and comfortable environments
Party Wall & Neighbourly Matters – offering pragmatic, balanced advice to manage risk and maintain positive stakeholder relationships

Requirements
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Building Surveying
Experience in Party Wall, Schedules of Condition, or general professional work
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
MRICS (desirable, not essential)

What’s on Offer
