MET Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established vehicle bodyshop client in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter/MET Technician to join a busy workshop and strengthen your career within the accident repair sector.

Benefits for the Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter/MET Technician:

Strong earning potential: £35,000 to £45,000 per year (based on hours worked), plus overtime paid at the same rate where applicable
Reliable working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:30
28 days holiday allowance (including bank holidays)

Specialist workshop role focused on hands-on vehicle preparationDuties of the Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter/MET Technician:

Strip vehicle panels and dismantle damaged components for the repair process
Remove and refit vehicle interior trim, lining, and associated parts
Organise parts and prepare vehicles to the required standard for the next stage of repair
Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a consistently high quality as a Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter/MET Technician
Maintain productivity in a fast-paced bodyshop environmentRequirements of the Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter/MET Technician:

Proven experience as a Bodyshop MET Technician, or in a closely related bodyshop stripping/dismantling role
Knowledge of vehicle dismantling, stripping, and reassembly procedures
Strong attention to detail when handling panels, trim, and internal components
Ability to work to deadlines and maintain productivity within an accident repair workflow
