Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team on a permanent dayshift basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our facilities, ensuring optimal operational performance. Duties
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, switches, relays, and circuit boards.
* Programme and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise equipment performance.
* Use AutoCAD software for updating schematics and layout drawings as required.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute complex repair projects.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance procedures.
* Provide excellent customer service by supporting internal teams with technical guidance when needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
* Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD for creating or modifying technical drawings.
* Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding integrated systems.
* Ability to perform maintenance tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
* Customer service skills are desirable for effective communication with internal stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or maintenance technology are preferred.
