Apprenticeship Trainer - Plumbing & Heating
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £37,200 - £41,880 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week
The Role
An established Further Education provider is seeking an Apprenticeship Trainer in Plumbing & Heating to support the delivery of its growing apprenticeship provision.
This role is ideal for an experienced Plumbing & Heating professional looking to move into education and pass on their industry knowledge to the next generation of engineers. You'll work closely with apprentices both on campus and in the workplace, helping them develop the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plumbing & Heating apprentices throughout their training programme
Deliver training in classroom, workshop and workplace environments
Conduct apprentice progress reviews and provide developmental feedback
Build strong relationships with employers and support workplace learning
Help apprentices develop technical competence, employability skills and industry knowledge
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
Promote additional training and development opportunities with employers
Support apprentices in achieving qualifications and apprenticeship standards
Travel across the local area to visit apprentices in the workplace
What We're Looking For
Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating Installation
Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating or a related discipline
Strong practical knowledge of current industry standards and practices
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to motivate and support apprentices of varying abilities
Teaching, assessing or training experience desirable but not essential
Full support available for candidates looking to gain teaching qualifications
