Care Worker - Ashley Drive
£25,506 per annum
37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We currently have opportunities for full time (37.5 hours per week) Care Workers to work within our registered care home, Ashley Drive (Tylers Green, High Wycombe), where we provide support for six individuals with learning disabilities, some of whom are non-verbal and have physical disabilities.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support individuals with their day to day needs to enable individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives. This will involve assisting with:

Mealtimes and social activities
Providing personal care with compassion and respect
Attending appointments and maintaining their health and well-being
Promoting skills and involvement including shopping and domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning
Support in any other areas of their daily living.As a Care Worker, you will follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a highly effective service that meets each individual’s needs, empowers their aspirations and maximises their independence.

About You

You will be a caring and enthusiastic individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is driven by the desire to make a difference and can recognise and understand the needs of vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.

Desired qualities will include:

Effective collaborator using different methods according to the complex needs of those in your care.
Ability to work shifts as part of a rota system, including some weekend and bank holiday working
Teamwork and flexibility are key to the success of the services we provide, as is a clear commitment to equality and diversity
It is essential that you are happy to do sleep-ins. (an allowance for £52.78 per sleep in is paid)

For the right person, we would consider part time hours.

Due to the location, a driver’s licence is preferred as public transport links are limited.
