MET Technician Required in Widnes, Cheshire.
Our client, a well-established accident repair centre group in the North West, is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their dynamic team.
Benefits:
£20 per hour plus a very competitive bonus rate (OTE upwards of £50,000)
Monday to Friday only, flexible shifts covering 40 to 45 hours per week
Time saved bonus and salary packages available
Can provide ATA training
Company-provided electric van
Access to current tools and diagnostic technology
Opportunity to work across multiple modern repair sites within a growing network
Supportive environment with genuine progressionDuties of the MET Technician:
Perform diagnostic assessments and mechanical repairs to a high standard across a wide range of vehicles
Identify and rectify electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and accurately using advanced diagnostic equipment
Carry out dismantling and reassembly, including interior and exterior trim, engines, gearboxes, and suspension systems
Complete precise wheel alignments, suspension setups, and vehicle geometry adjustments
Ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to relevant industry standards
Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to maintain smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
Keep up to date with vehicle technology and complete training as requiredRequirements as an MET Technician:
Proven experience as a MET Technician in an accident repair centre or automotive workshop environment
Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, including diagnostics and repairs
Proficiency using modern diagnostic equipment and software
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
