Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. This permanent position requires you to be on-site three days per week, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities:
Applying Systems Thinking to understand the broader problem space and leading engineering teams through the engineering lifecycle
Supporting the setting, management, and reporting on project maturity measures to assure performance to customers and internal stakeholders
Developing and maintaining engineering and assurance processes in response to technical and operational needs
Preparing integrated warship design models, drawings, and specifications, and managing governance reviews
Providing technical expertise to conduct reviews, manage risks and issues, and ensure work packages are delivered to cost, schedule, and quality
Job Requirements:
Degree-qualified in a relevant technology, engineering, science, or IT discipline or equivalent experience
Understanding of key systems engineering principles, methodologies, and lifecycle competence with systems engineering tools
Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Knowledge of large complex product design processes and assurance activities is advantageous
Experience in Systems Full Lifecycle and comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering
