Vehicle Technician required by our client, a well-established main dealership in Southampton, Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a high-performing team, with structured training and competitive pay.
Benefits:
* Competitive basic salary up to £38,000 basic, depending on experience, with an OTE up to £42,000
* Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
* 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:00am to 1:00pm, paid at overtime rate (1.5x)

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
* The Vehicle Technician will carry out full vehicle examinations, including electronic vehicle health checks
* Diagnose non-routine defects and faults in the workshop and during road tests
* Complete repairs and servicing to technical standards and in line with quality procedures
* Provide knowledgeable, courteous and efficient service to colleagues and workshop customers
* Liaise with the front-of-house team to keep them updated on vehicle progress and completed work
* Discuss technical issues and completed works with customers when requested
* Provide technical advice and support to workshop apprentices
* Work with the wider workshop team to improve methods of work and efficiency
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or franchise environment
* Relevant formal qualification: NVQ Level 3, IMI or City & Guilds
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to first-time fix
* Customer focus with clear communication skills
* Ability to follow strict technical procedures and guidelines
* MOT licence highly advantageous
* Full UK driving licence with confident driving manner
* Team player mindset, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge
