VEHICLE DAMAGE ASSESSOR

Established Accident Repair Company looking for a VDA for their Bodyshop

Location of the Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Inspector: Heathrow

Salary of the Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Inspector: £49,000 DOE

The VDA is responsible for accurately inspecting and assessing a wide range of Commercial vehicles that have sustained damage and require repair. Accurately and professionally calculate costings and the time required to complete all necessary repairs delivering the highest standards of quality for our customers.
Ensuring tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety regulations, following Audatex estimates to create accurate damage assessments in line with BSI 10125 standards, using the correct repair methods
Commercial Vehicles will include both LCV and HGV vehicle types and will cover all makes and models of manufacturer and body build.

The Role for theVehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Inspector:

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, assessing repair costs, and producing accurate repair estimates using Audatex. Experience estimating commercial vehicles would be advantageous, although full support will be provided to the right candidate with relevant vehicle damage assessment experience.

Key Responsibilities for the Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Inspector:

o Accurately assess damage and produce repair estimates using Audatex.
o Liaise with insurers, engineers, and customers regarding assessments and authorisations.
o Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure smooth repair planning.
o Ensure all estimates and associated paperwork are completed to a high standard.
o Maintain strong communication and uphold our values throughout the repair journey.

About the Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Inspector:

o Experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (ATA or NVQ/IMI equivalent preferred).
o Skilled in using Audatex estimating software.
o Previous experience estimating commercial vehicle repairs would be desirable
o Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
o A strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
