Junior CNC Machinist
Location: Corby
Salary: £25,8000 plus attendance bonus paid monthly
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hours 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Thursday), 8.00am – 1.00pm (Friday)
Our client is looking for a reliable and motivated Junior CNC Machinist to join their growing production team. This would suit an Engineering college leaver or similar, looking to get into a hands-on engineering role.
The Role:
Working within our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery (training given) to produce high-quality precision components.
Key Responsibilities – After Full Training:
* Operate HAAS CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently.
* Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
* Inspect components to ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Monitor production output and identify any quality or process issues.
* Maintain a clean and organised working area.
* Work closely with colleagues and the team leader to meet production targets.
* Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
* Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes where required.
Person Specification:
* Engineering college leaver
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
