Opportunity to grow and develop mental health services, alongside a hybrid working model (3 days office-based across East London and 2 days from home). Full-time role with evenings and weekends as part of an on-call rota.
We are recruiting a Wellbeing Manager to lead two non-clinical mental health services focused on crisis prevention and long-term recovery. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing staff, overseeing delivery, and building strong relationships with Local Authorities, NHS partners, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage referral partner relationships (Local Authorities, NHS, stakeholders)
Lead and support a small team (1-1s, training, rota planning, performance)
Oversee service performance, reporting, and data quality
Improve systems, processes, and staff accountability
Services:
Crisis Prevention (Out of Hours):
Supports individuals in low-level mental health crisis
Focus on de-escalation to reduce A&E attendance
Delivered by part-time and sessional staff across community venues
Mental Health Recovery:
Supports individuals with long-term mental health needs
Around 80 service users in a group-based model
Focus on progression (volunteering, CVs, independence)
3-monthly reviews
Out of Hours:
On-call evenings and weekends (very light touch) – 3 weekends on which is low volume, supporting staff if required
Monthly quality visit (approx. 9 hours) but time off in lieu provided
Requirements:
Proven management experience (essential)
Background in mental health or community services
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
